organic atlas cedarwood essential oil

Organic Atlas Cedarwood essential oil has numerous uses in aromatherapy and natural perfumery. It is said to be an aphrodisiac with a masculine aroma, but it is appealing to both men and women. Because of its grounding aroma, it is frequently used in meditation blends. Atlas Cedarwood has been revered for millennia and has been used to build ships, shrines, and bath houses, as well as in embalming, medicines, cosmetics, and perfumery; it is also thought to be one of the earliest incense materials.

Organic Atlas Cedarwood essential oil is a substance derived from cedar tree needles, leaves, bark, and berries. There are many different types of cedar trees found all over the world. Some trees that are referred to as cedars are actually junipers. They are both evergreen conifers.

Steam distillation, carbon dioxide distillation, and cold pressing are all methods for extracting this essential oil. While it is available for purchase on its own, it is also used as an ingredient in products such as insect repellent, cologne, shampoo, and deodorant.

Cedarwood oil benefits

Cedarwood oil and its constituents have been investigated for potential health and beauty benefits in animal and human studies. Cendrine, cedrol, and thujone are among the constituents of cedarwood oil. These could have the following characteristics:

  • antiseptic

  • anti-inflammatory

  • antispasmodic

  • diuretic

  • insecticidal

  • antifungal

The composition of the oil is determined by the tree from which it is derived, which can affect the oil's suitability for specific conditions.

One of my all-time favorite essential oils is Atlas Cedarwood (Cedrus Atlantica). It has a remarkably deep and rich aroma that lingers and mellows most unexpectedly. The scent transports me to the heart of the forest while also grounding me.

Next week, it will be September, and the leaves will begin to change color, our schedules will shift, and the doors will open to a slew of new beginnings, such as new school terms, fashion trends, fall fruits, and social and cultural engagements.

Atlas Cedarwood oil has both powerfully spiritual and ancient roots. These tall, strong trees, native to North Africa's Atlas Mountains (hence the name), once grew in abundance in Lebanon, where their groves are frequently mentioned in the Old Testament. The aromatic wood from these magnificent trees was used by the ancient Egyptians to embalm and mummify their dead and transport them to the next world. Centuries later, King Solomon harvested them from the once majestic groves of Lebanon to construct the Second Temple. The aroma of the wood was thought to foster a direct connection to the spiritual realm.
